Technoloy develops so fast that you can see it everywhere in people's daily life. Like the blockbuster Avatar premiered a couple months a ago, the popularity was beyond imagination. And one of the reasons it's so hot on fire is that it's one of those 3D wholesale movies and viewer can enjoy the vivid visual impact like they are right in the scene.

To strike the iron when it's hot, ESPN announced that it will launch the new channel called "ESPN 3D" on June 11, 2010. George Bodenheimer, president of ESPN and ABC Sports, said, "ESPN's commitment to 3D is a win for fans and our business partners. ESPN 3D marries great content with new technology to enhance the fan's viewing experience and puts ESPN at the forefront of the next big advance for TV viewing." Of course it'll take a 3D television set and 3D glasses to enjoy this kind of viewing.

In the 50s, Disney, Paramount and Universal Studios had all created 3D films for everybody to enjoy and that was considered the birth of 3D technology, and this even caused wholesale DVDs development. This vision was also meant to be the way of the future for watching videos, but soon got killed due tostrain on the eyes and headaches which were caused by watching a 3D movie which usually, was like a fun filled evening for the family.

Movies in 3D are already a tried-and-tested method and is loved by all, but 3D TV is still in a trial and error period, and how many viewers are willing to strain theirs eyes for it on a regular basis is a question that only time can answer. Not to mention some people are suffering from the headache and painful eyes every time they wearing 3D glasses watching 3D movies. But it is a trend, and not just movies and tv programmes are involved in this 3D stream, games and computer monitors are also going to be a part of it sooner or later.
