Dvorak: iPhone battery dead after 40 minutes

John C. Dvorak said he received information from “a guy at Cingular who’s testing the product.” The unnamed, male Cingular employee told Dvorak “there’s lots of issues.”
He says the amateur mistake that they made is not having a removable battery. You run 20 minutes and you’re using up half the battery power. You get 40 minutes total talk time. And the interface fouls up constantly.
You could here this while listening to episode 93 of the his great podcast.
Perhaps the guy who told this to Dvorak is already searching for a new job.

No, no, no. That Cingular

No, no, no. That Cingular guy was testing the prototype of the "3G" iPhone that will be out in 20 years from now. Man, have you ever use a 3G phone, it sucks up the battery in seconds. ;)

This is one way an author

This is one way an author can get attention. It is idiotic to think that Apple would sell a newly sensationalized phone that runs 40 min of talk time.

Dvorak is a good Source

Do you read Slashdot regularly? If you do, you should know that Dvorak is not a very good source. Nearly everthing he is talking about is wrong.
